Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?

Amplify Canada is built for beginner to intermediate independent artists and bands who want to operate more like entrepreneurs. It is a fit if you are writing, recording, releasing, or gigging and you want a repeatable approach to growth. It is especially useful for artists who feel stuck, scattered, or unsure what to prioritize next.

How long is the program?

Amplify Canada is designed as a cohort-based program delivered over a set number of weeks (usually 4 - 5), with live online sessions and optional follow-up resources between sessions. The exact cohort length and session schedule may vary by intake. Once dates are confirmed, the full calendar will be shared up front so participants can plan around rehearsals, work, and release cycles.

Is there a cost?

The core commitment is a 6-month membership fee ($499 CDN), intended to cover access to programming, resources, and the member community. Pricing and what is included, such as live sessions, replays, templates, and member perks, will be clearly listed before you register. Amplify Canada is a registered non-profit organization, and the fee helps support the delivery of the program itself, including platform costs, administration, resource development, and the ongoing improvement of the member experience. The goal is to keep the program accessible while ensuring the training, guidance, and community offered to members are thoughtful, practical, and genuinely valuable over the full six-month period.

What makes Amplify Canada different from researching online advice?

Amplify Canada is built around real access to industry experience, not endless content. You will get live sessions with working professionals, direct Q and A, and real-time feedback that puts answers in the context of your genre, goals, and current stage. The curriculum is curated and sequenced so you are not spending hours sorting through random YouTube advice or pulling generic answers from ChatGPT without the right background.

What topics does the program cover?

Sessions focus on the core building blocks of an indie music career: planning releases, building a simple marketing system, branding and messaging, content strategy, audience growth, and monetization basics. Some cohorts also include specialist sessions like Copyright 101 and producer or collaborator agreements, so you can avoid common mistakes before they cost you time or rights.

How are sessions delivered?

Sessions are delivered online as live workshops, usually with a teaching segment plus Q and A. When available, recordings or replays may be posted for members who cannot attend live. Depending on the cohort, there may also be templates, exercises, and follow-up resources that help you apply what you learned to your current release or goals.

Is this one-on-one mentoring or group based?

Amplify Canada is primarily group-based learning, which keeps it affordable and creates peer momentum. Some cohorts may include feedback touchpoints, or community-based support depending on capacity. If additional one-on-one options are offered, they will be clearly presented as optional add-ons rather than required to benefit.

What is the time commitment?

Most participants should plan for the live session time plus a small amount of optional implementation time. The program is built to be workable alongside real life commitments like work, school, and rehearsals. If you only attend the sessions you will still learn, but applying even a little each week is what creates noticeable progress.

What do I leave with when I'm done?

You should leave with a clearer plan and a set of practical assets you can use immediately, such as a simple marketing roadmap, release and content checklist, improved positioning for your artist brand, and a better grasp of key business topics (copyright, contracts, budgeting, and promotion). The goal is momentum plus tools, not just information.

"Amplify Canada is the kind of program that can make a real difference by equipping artists with the skills they need to thrive in today’s evolving music landscape."
